P.E. Teacher Resigns Over Gay Porn Pics

Sam Handley X390 (©KMS) (SCREN GRAB) | ADVOCATE.COM

A physical education teacher who was suspended from his post at an all boys grammar school in the UK after nude photos of him surfaced on a gay website has quit.

According to KentOnline.co.uk, Sam Handley was suspended from Harvey Grammar School after the photos surfaced. The school said it accepted his resignation last week “following recent media interest” into matters concerning him.

School officials issued the following statement: “The school fully accepts Mr. Handley’s assurances that the events in question took place prior to him being offered and taking up employment at the school, and that he has not engaged in anything similar whilst employed at the school.”

Students at the school found pictures of Handley in various stages of undress and sent them out to other students and faculty members in September. Handley said at the time: “I didn’t pose for anything pornographic… I was just holding it.”

The photos show Handley in various stages of undress, including a picture of him naked and reclined on his back playing with himself.

Handley told the school officials the photos had been taken long before he became a teacher.

His sister Sophie Desai told KentOnline: “He had no idea they would be used in this way. He has been a bit naive but has done nothing wrong. The photos were not taken for this purpose. We have no idea how this has happened.”

@red seven - I think the fact they were published on a gay website caused the assumption that it was gay porn.

Big Deal. So he took some "Nude Picks" that ended up on a Gay Website. A lot of the best Solo pictures on Gay Websites are of straight men. Hot Butch Gay men are hard to find these days. It was much more adventurist back in the day when being gay was more forced in the closet discreetly taboo. It was sort of like living on the edge when getting away with doing something we were not morally supposed to do. The real question or crime here is that those kids aren't being monitored by their own parents or the student faculty isn't doing their jobs. But why the hell did hell did he admit it was him. He should have lied or let them fire him for him to sue. Or maybe this will pay off better for him in the long run. With this type of exposure & if he is impressive to the camera as hung like a candy cane as in eyes candy, maybe his income will improve & that will be one less teacher bitching about their bad pay when these days they should feel lucky they got a job.

I saw the pics and they are a bit more than "holding it" and hot. Yes it is questionable that students were surfing male porn sites and decided to share their findings with everyone. However, you have to be dense to think that if you do a nude photo shoot of yourself jerking off that at some point they are not going to surface. Especially if you are in a position of authority.

Well isn't this a nice little piece of plagiarism! Nice job of cut-n-paste, Advocate! If you're too damned lazy and unprofessional to credit a source properly, then what the hell are you doing calling yourself "journalists". I'm emailing this Web page to KentOnline, and reporting your plagiarism. Frankly I hope they sue your asses. I am so sick of this crap from you. Goodbye and good riddance.

...Ummmm... where can I find these pictures??? Of course I'm only asking because I want to give a fair analysis and have to make sure that I have personally seen them so I know exactly what I am talking about... Yeah, Yeah, that's why.

Red Seven, I think in our culture pictures of a man masturbating are gay because they are targeted at a male gay audience. Just like pictures of women with big breasts are aimed at straight men and not lesbian women.

Hmm...just one question...the story claims the pics were found by some students...what exactly were these students doing online looking at gay porn?...interesting. where were the parents?...also..if the students were already looking at gay porn...how is this guy's being in the pic going to change anything... these kids must be gay already if they are looking at gay porn pics online...people get over it already..

This can be a problem with how you perceive your adjectives. It depends on the binding for the words "gay porn pics." You can have the binding where "gay" is describing "porn pics," or you can have the binding where "gay porn" describes "pics." I believe the article was describing the pictures as "gay porn" seeing as how the pictures were on a gay pornographic website. Though, some people can make the mistake in thinking the article is describing the pictures as "pornographic pictures that are gay."

The headline seems a bit misleading. A picture of a nude man alone is male, but not necessarily "gay." In fact, there's nothing remotely gay about it. Straight men masturbate just as much as gay guys do, if not more. It might be true that gay men, moreso than straight women, are consumers of male erotica, but that alone doesn't make a photo of a naked man "gay." I often see such things described as "gay" or "homoerotic," and I'm always puzzled - it's as if straight men don't have sexual lives at all.
