Gay Sex Scene in Xbox’sDragon Age

LOL this is genuinely funny and cute

The Game is cross platform (Xbox, Playstation, PC). Article writer please do your bit of research and give "credit" to the proper entities which are Bioware (Software Developer) and Electronic Arts (Publisher). It would be ridiculous to credit Windows 7/Microsoft for this just because I played the PC version, or Xbox respectively. Supposedly any member of my coterie (except the dog, and probably the golemn) can be seduced by giving gifts, talking etc. Though I did not persue sex with Zefran (didn't realize he was that easy LOL), I was planning to replay the game at some point and try to peg up Allistair's approval---sex with the king...hmmm. At the end of the game before the final battle, a female makes advances, you can reject her and supposedly at that point you can approach any member of your coterie with whom you have very high approval. Do note the PC version requires a pretty high spec computer.

Last video game I bought and played was Q-Bert in the mid-80s. So yeah, this is kinda new to me.

Oh, and it should be pointed out; Zev is not a Warrior, he is a Rogue, an Assassin to be specific. And 'I want to discuss something personal' is not one of the pick up lines; most of the party members have this option no matter what your gender. It's just an opener for...personal questions that some party members will not answer unless you are at the party camp. And....you don't get invited into his tent, you invite him into yours. Oh, there's also an awesome party dialogue that happens between another party member, Shale, and Zev if you are a male romancing him; apparently Shale doesn't know how babies are made. Brakna, a kinda of major NPC whom is married to one of your party members, Oghren, also comes out as a lesbian. Oghren has many a funny drunken comments about that one as well.

As Luke said, it really isn't difficult to have sex with Zev at all; then again, that's because Zev is a sex fiend that will probably sleep with anything that even remotely looks humanoid. His Approval rating for catching him is around 50, and you can get there right after you recruit him without having to give him a single gift if you play the dialogue right. Also, you completely left out Leliana whom is also bisexual - and very much in love with shoes! Also, both of the straight romance options (Alistair for females, Morrigain for males) can be talked into joining a threesome with either males or females at the local brothel. All members of the brothel are bisexual too of course. There are a few other gay semi-romance options for a few other characters. The Human Noble origin, as either male or female, can have a male or a female 'join them in their bed at night' during their opening. Sadly, this person will subsequently be shot and killed by a point blank arrow to the chest. :(

It's nice to see gay gamers/geeks getting as much attention these days as regular geeks. For a long time it was the "Custers Revenge" scene all over town. Too many men having sex with overly large breasted women, who manage to maintain a 36 24 36 body. Now we are able to maintain gay relationships in such in Fable 2, Grand Theft Auto (which is by far my favorite gay news maker), and now Dragon Age.

Awesome game.

As for the underwear they have the males in...it is both suggestive and revealing. There is one place where you come across a stripped male body in a cell. I actually had to back up and look twice as I was almost certain there was too much detail with regards to packages. At least, for once, they choose to pay as much attention to getting that part of the anatomy correct as video games normally pay to getting breasts just so. It does add a somewhat guilty element of enjoyment to the game.

Really, Advocate, you should have done better. It's not a "secret" gay scene and claiming it is just feeds into a ridiculous view of Bioware doing a better job at being inclusive in video games. Perhaps if you're going to opine on something, it would be better to have the writer who was at all familiar with gaming, both the products and the industry. Screwing up platform availability and relying on apparently one source makes the rest of your writing suspect. Try it again.
