After one term in Congress, New York representative Eric Massa will reportedly not run for reelection due to a possible investigation over whether he sexually harassed a male staffer. According to Politico and the New York Daily News, the House Ethics Committee has been informed of the allegations. However, Massa said his departure is health-related.

"When someone makes a decision to leave Congress, everybody says everything," he told Politico. "I have health issues. I'll talk about it [later]."

Massa dealt with a bout of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which he said inspired him to run for office and try to help reform the health care system. He is married with two children.

Massa is the 15th Democrat to announce plans to retire this session.
