Lesbian Teen Attacked By Friends
Kentucky state police have arrested 18-year-olds Corinne Schwab and Ashley Sams and an unnamed 17-year-old girl on charges of kidnapping and attempting to murder a lesbian classmate.
The investigators say the three teens, residents of Jackson County, were supposed to be taking Cheyenne Williams to a job interview, according to WKYT. However, Williams was taken against her will to nearby Flat Lick Falls, where, police say, the suspects attempted to push her off a cliff. Williams escaped and was able to find help following the attack, which friends say was motivated purely because Williams is a lesbian, according to WLEX.
A school administrator, however, says the girls all appeared to be close friends and that there has never seemed to be a problem between them. Police have not yet established a motive.
