The fiercely antigay Westboro Baptist Church may be planning a protest outside Midland High School in Arkansas, following the resignation of the school board's homophobic vice president.
According to the the Cotton Club blog, members of the Topeka, Kan.-based family church plan to descend on Pleasant Plains, Ark., on Wednesday, ostensibly because Midland board member Clint McCance was forced from his job last week.
Cotton Rohrscheib, a straight Arkansas businessman who operates the Cotton Club, is planning a "mass mooning" of the church members at 2 p.m. For the "Hiney on the Highway" event, the idea is get as many people as possible to show the church members how they feel about their hate-filled rhetoric. Rohrscheib is offering carpooling help for those who need assistance getting to the school next week, and a Facebook page for the event has been launched.
