South Carolina Joins LGBT License Plate Party

Following in the footsteps of Maryland and, recently, Indiana, South Carolina will offer pro-LGBT equality license plates.

South Carolina's subtle plates cost $25, with half of that money going to the South Carolina Equality Foundation. Parties in Columbia and Charleston take place Friday and Saturday to honor the new plates. Read more here.

Following a protracted battle, Indiana recently began offering LGBT plates, with funds going to support a gay youth organization. Maryland was the first state to offer LGBT-related plates a few years back.
