Thomas Beatie, also known as the "pregnant man," gave birth to his second child early this morning, reports ABC's 20/20 . The baby boy follows daughter Susan Juliette, born to Beatie and his wife, Nancy, last June.

Beatie is a transgender man who took his place in the sensational media cycle last year after announcing his first pregnancy in The Advocate . Beatie told ABC's Barbara Walters last November that he stayed off testosterone after the birth of his daughter so that the couple could have another child.

Both baby and dad are reportedly healthy. The couple has not yet settled on a name.

His story is amazing but there is also this doc out there about 19 female-to-male transsexuals living in the United States who have given birth and, in all but a few stories, gone on to raise their biological children. It's a cool take on a wide variety of transgender parenting experiences. Please go to Frameline33's website for more info...

Facial hair or no facial hair, you ain't no man having a baby. As long as you got a "gina" (cavity between those legs) and eggs to reproduce you ain't no man, ain't no man, AIN'T no man. You ain't now and never will be a man. Get a job for Christ sake.

For the record I'm not judging anyone's life choices. The families of this couple are probably thrilled. If I knew them I would be too. But come on this really is just tabloid junket. I'm just saying that this isn't national news.

It's appalling how militant queers are about people having to identify with a gender or sex. Why is it a problem? It's so hetero-normative. If we were half as concerned about important issues facing gays as we are against people in the trans community we'd have no problem forcing legislation on marriage and hate crimes.

Congratulations on the birth, hope all went well. Why all the hate? Who are we to judge anyone's life choices?

I'm very happy for Thomas and his wife. Congratulations! It's very sad that people have such a restrictive view of gender (especially among the Advocate's readership!) and are out there hell bent on proving that he is this or that. I don't think you guys understand the concept of transgenderism. Such an emotional and irrational response can only be described as transphobia. There are no other words. Just like homophobes passionately insist that gay people are against nature, you guys are claiming that gender is either black or white, one thing or its opposite. I think people like Thomas do a great job for all of us showing us the variety of the human experience, lest we start to believe that we are just an army of clones. Thank you Thomas and I wish you and and your family all the best.

Wow, So much hate coming from the GLB community. When people don't understand you, you ask that they try to gain some knowledge so they understand where you are coming from. When straights do this to you you scream, but then you turn around and do it to someone else? You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Get some f'in trans education and lay off the nasty remarks! Otherwise you're no better than "Them"
