An Evening With Women
Will you want to spend An Evening With Women? No Doubt! The pop-punk band will be performing acoustic sets alongside Sia at the annual fundraiser for the Los Angeles LGBT Center, which is hosted this year by comedian Sarah Silverman. Enjoy great laughs and music Saturday, May 16 at the Hollywood Palladium while raising money for homeless youth and seniors. Sia there!
Saint Laurent
Fans of hedonism should flock to Saint Laurent, a lavish portrayal of fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his rise to international stardom. Portrayed by the dashing actor Gaspard Ulliel, Laurent led an outwardly glamorous life in the 1960s and '70s that was also marked by addictions to sex and drugs. This French film does what the French do best -- plunge headlong into the artist's tortured soul before coming up for air for a cigarette and a twirl on the dance floor with Lea Seydoux (Blue Is the Warmest Color). See it in theaters this weekend.
Just in time for Pride season, the Chemical Brothers have delivered the summer's fiercest track -- "Go" from the their upcoming album Born In The Echoes. This '80s-infused serving of sweetness was engineered to ignite the dance floor. Press play and let the party begin.
And All the Dead, Lie Down
If you're in the L.A. area, settle in for an evening of LGBT Theater at Studio C on Theatre Row with director John Coppola's And All the Dead, Lie Down. Starring former adult film performer Colton Ford and Kila Packett, and written by Harrison David Rivers, the story follows Alvin and Foss, two men who begin to face troubles in their relationship after receiving an unexpected call from Foss's delinquent brother. Catch all the drama onstage from now until June 6. Tickets available here.
