“RuPaul’s DragCon is the place to find your tribe,” says RuPaul. “For all the super creative and super sensitive people out there who live in world that says that you’re too much or that you don’t t fit in, DragCon says ‘Welcome home, baby.'”
Called "the first drag convention in Herstory," DragCon was two days of high-heeled, big-wigged fun and frolic. It is also, with its rigorous antiharassment policy, a safe space for folks new to the drag and trans scenes.
Thanks to Carlos Rodríguez for these images he took at one of the over 50 panels during the event, which took place last weekend.
“The biggest surprise from last year’s DragCon was how much of a family event this is. Whether your family is San Francisco’s legendary drag queens, Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, or you’re a tween girl superfan visiting with your mom and dad, there’s something for everybody at RuPaul’s DragCon,” says World of Wonder cofounder Randy Barbato.
