The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation calls on Twitter users to tell rapper 50 Cent not to joke about antigay violence to his more than 3 million followers.

GLAAD reports that 50 Cent made the offensive comment in his Twitter feed Thursday, in response to gay blogger Perez Hilton calling him a "douchebag." The tweet was removed from his main page, but it remains on Twitpic.

"Perez Hilton calld me douchebag so I had my homie shoot up a gay wedding. wasnt his but still made me feel better," the rapper tweeted. The antigay tweet was accompanied by a photo of two men in suits fleeing an angry mob.

In response, GLAAD issued these instructions:

"On Twitter? Please post this tweet to your twitter page to let 50 Cent know your thoughts: RT @glaad: Tell @50cent to let his fans know that anti-gay violence isn't something to joke about. https://bit.ly/ab6rXV #LGBT #gay Pls RT!"

In separate tweets on his account, 50 Cent also defends boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr., who has not apologized for homophobic comments on Ustream last week and now is wanted for questioning in a domestic violence incident in Las Vegas.
