The 85th Academy Awards, produced by the gay duo Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, certainly had many queer moments, from a celebration of movie musicals to a performance by Shirley Bassey. But nothing topped the performance of Barbra Streisand singing "The Way We Were" following the "In Memoriam" broadcast. Streisand was honoring Marvin Hamlisch, the composer behind the song, who passed away last year.
