The Grammy-winning a cappella singing group Pentatonix is known for covering both mainstream pop songs and more eclectic tunes from other genres, all done in their own innovative vocal arrangements.
The group first came to prominence when Pentatonix won the third season of NBC's The Sing-Off.
This year, the quintet, which includes out singers Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying, took home a Grammy for Best Arrangement for "Daft Punk," a thrilling medley of songs by the popular electronica band. The song's video has been watched more than 141-million times on the group's personal YouTube channel.
Pentatonix can also be seen briefly in Pitch Perfect 2. That's them decked out in khakis as the Canadian a cappella group competing against the Barden Bellas at the world championships.
This week Pentatonix uploaded a video of the group zipping through the evolution of Michael Jackson's music career, from hits by the Jackson 5 all the way through Thriller and the later solo years, and ending with 1991's "Will You Be There?" Best of all, the whole medley is filmed in one long take - no cuts! Bravo!
