Kim Davis's refusal to do her government-appointed job has become such a top-trending news story that even comedy website Funny or Die couldn't resist.
The antigay county clerk from Kentucky, who is continuing to deny marriage licenses to same-sex couples because of her self-proclaimed Christian convictions, despite being ordered to do so by Kentucky's governor and the Supreme Court, was the subject of FoD's latest clip, titled Clerks and Recreation, a play on the hit NBC comedy Parks and Recreation.
The one-minute video splices actual footage from Tuesday of Davis rebuffing a gay couple's request for a marriage license with clips from Parks and Rec, and the results are absolutely hilarious.
"If you don't believe in love, what's the point of living?" Nick Offerman's Ron Swanson character asks, juxtaposed with Davis saying she had the right to refuse marriage licenses under "God's authority."
