In a last-ditch effort to stop the Trumpocalypse, Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein announced yesterday that she was raising funds to pay for a recount in three key swing states. Within 10 hours, she had met her goal of $2.5 million, more than likely enough to thoroughly audit the votes and discover whether anyone tampered with the election results. While a happy ending is unlikely here, many people took to Twitter to express their support for such an action in the name of democracy, or at least make a few jokes about the whole situation.
Some people think the mere existence of the #recount2016 movement is a bad sign for Trump.
