The Utah Pride Center, Equality Utah, the Utah AIDS Foundation, the Human Rights Campaign, and their LGBT community and allies held a vigil for the victims and survivors of the Pulse Nightclub shootings yesterday at the Salt Lake City and County Building. There was rain, but there was love and hope and candles as well. Speakers included gay SLC mayor Jackie Biskupski, gay State Senator Jim Dabakis, and Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox. Noor Ul-Hasan, a leader in Salt Lake City's Muslim community, openly cried as she spoke. She said, "Not one of you is a believer unless he desires for his brother what he desires for himself," "That was not a believer who did this."
