Chelsea Clinton addressed LGBT voters in North Carolina Saturday.
Chelsea Clinton, Hillary Clinton's daughter, spoke in Charlotte Saturday addressing LGBT voters, asking them to vote on Tuesday.
"In my heart, this is the most consequential election of my lifetime," said Clinton to a crowd Saturday. Clinton spoke at a meeting at the AvidXchange Music Factory, reported The Charlotte Observer. The event was sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign.
Clinton told the crowd, "I'm constantly talking to people across our country about how important it is to vote up and down the ballot, and you understand that probably more than anyone else does at this moment in time. So thank you for what you're doing to make the case about why this election is the most important of our lifetime, while also recognizing that all elections really matter."
The Observer reported that the Tar Heel state has more than 255,000 LGBT voters. The number was accounted for by the Human Rights Campaign, which said that President Obama won North Carolina by 14,000 votes in 2008.
