It looks like veteran actor Burt Reynolds has no sympathy for the likes of Charlie Sheen.

In a recent interview on the British talk show Loose Women, the actor (who starred in popular films such as Deliverance, Smokey and the Bandit, and Boogie Nights) said fellow Hollywood big shot Sheen, who came out as HIV-positive in an interview on the Today show last month, "deserved" the virus.

"He's handled it badly, I think," Reynolds said when asked about Sheen's recent public revelation. "His father is a very, very decent man and a dear friend of mine. I feel bad for him. But Charlie, I don't feel bad for him."

"He's getting what he deserves," he continued. "If you're going to misbehave like that, then they're going to get you."

Attitude Magazine points out that rumors about Reynolds possibly being HIV-positive had been circulating in years past, and that he is among several celebrities, like antivaccine activist Jenny McCarthy, who have also publicly criticized Sheen ever since he told the world he was poz.
