President to Be "Proud" Of

Writing in the April 8 edition of The Advocate, James Kirchick presents, what appears to be on its face, a balanced essay in support of John McCain for president. While I respect Mr. McCain, I can't imagine anyone supportive of the LGBT community voting for him because of his pledge to appoint conservative judges. There are already so many conservative ideologues on the bench that it's tilting strongly to the right. Any more archconservative judges, and the judiciary will fall over on its right side. I'm curious why Mr. Kirchick "forgot" to add that small point in his essay.
