Thank you for publishing Thomas Beatie's story relating his experience becoming a biological parent as a transgender man. His story has already come under the usual fire, which should serve as a reminder that our community must be vehement in our defense of our right to define our own identities and unwavering in our support of the myriad ways there are to live our lives and create our families. Mr. Beatie's bravery in sharing his experience shows the strength and courage that defines so many in the LGBT community. Best of luck to him and his wife as they become first-time parents.
