I live on the other side of the Atlantic pond, so your magazine comes a little late to me. However, in Issue 1006 on Page 12 there is a review titled "Prelude to a Kiss?" For me the whole tone of this review reeked of [old fashioned dysfunctional] fantasy, in my opinion. Wow, how lucky we gays are; here are two hunky straight guys acting gay roles; straights who would do gay sex!!! This exudes the straight man fantasy of two women having lesbian sex, for the man's fulfillment! Why is it that still in 2008 it is so hard to get two gay guys in such roles? In the same issue you do an interview on Page 34 with Cheyenne Jackson who is out. From that interview, I take it that he feels his career to date has suffered some discrimination [he has lost out on some acting roles] by being out. Both themes I have mentioned above have been covered many times in The Advocate. Why is there not constant outrage at these situations? Why is The Advocate not advocating any more and not just reporting?
