Brian Richardson was spot-on with his suggestion to spend your money in gay-friendly places to send a message to those less than open. It already happens too. I live in Vancouver (suggested by Mr. Richardson) and have often joked, "Thank goodness the U.S. is so homophobic: it's good for our economy!" I've got conflicted feelings as I enjoy the benefits American antigay bias brings me (a masseur who does lots of U.S. guys on their wedding trip), but would like to see our friends to the south also enjoy equality.
