With so many pop stars open about their bisexuality, it's no surprise there are plenty of songs about being attracted to both men and women.

LGBT artists have long explored, celebrated, and sometimes lamented what it's like to be bisexual in their music. Straight artists have also gotten in on the fun, writing about bisexuality from their own perspectives, which sometimes means writing songs about loving bisexual mates.

Let's face it, bisexuality makes for great pop. Here are 29 tracks that get it.

1. Mika, "Billy Brown" (2007)

Oh, Billy Brown had lived an ordinary life,
Two kids, a dog and the precautionary wife.
While it was all going accordingly to plan
Then Billy Brown fell in love with another man.

Later, Billy runs away from his wife and lover -- and winds up in the arms of a compassionate "girlie," who tells Billy he's a "victim of the times."

2. Joan Jett, "Baby Blue" (2004)

Switch hitter, you know she plays the field
She ain't concerned, oh, as long as it's real

Co-written with Riot Grrrl legend Kathleen Hanna.

3. Lady Gaga, "Poker Face" (2008)

Can't read my, can't read my
No, he can't read my poker face.
(She's got me like nobody)

Gaga herself has explained that the song is about having relations with a man while thinking about a woman.

4. Rihanna, "Te Amo" (2009)

Then she said 'Te amo,' then she put her hand around my waist.
I told her no, she cried, 'Te amo,'
I told her I'm not gonna run away, but let me go.

The lyrics may find the singer hesistant to love this other woman, but the video tells another story.

5. Janet Jackson, "Tonight's The Night (Gonna Be Alright)" (1997)

This is just between me and you...and you.

In which Janet deconstructs an old Rod Stewart hit to be about her and her boyfriend having a threesome with a lucky lady.

6. Book of Love, "Pretty Boys and Pretty Girls" (1988)

Your warm body is what I'm without.
I just close my eyes and I dream about
Pretty boys and pretty girls.

The song was also ahead of its time for making references to safe sex.

7. White Stripes, "Fell In Love With A Girl" (2002)

She turns and says are you all right?
I said, I must be fine cause my heart's still beating.
Come and kiss me by the riverside.
Bobby says it's fine, he don't consider it cheating

Jack White's persona could be a woman, could be a man. At any rate, it's someone with a permissive partner named Bobby.

8. Demi Lovato, "Cool For The Summer" (2015)

Take me down into your paradise.
Don't be scared cause I'm your body type.
Just something that we wanna try.

An anthem for the bicurious.

9. Peaches, "I U She"(2003)

I don't have to make the choice -
I like girls and I like boys.

The avant garde electronica artist shows how it's done.

10. Peter Allen, "Bicoastal" (1980)

All those girls on TV movies,
All those boys on Broadway.
When you can't make up your mind,
You know you go either way.

The whole song is about how tough it is to choose between New York and LA. What's that called, class? That's correct, an extended metaphor.

11. Blur, "Girls & Boys" (1994)

Girls who are boys
Who like boys to be girls
Who do boys like they're girls
Who do girls like they're boys --
Always should be someone you really love

'90s Brit pop never sounded so sexually liberated.

12. Janelle Monae featuring Erykah Bad, "Q.U.E.E.N." (2013)

Hey brother, can you save my soul from the devil?
Say is it weird to like the way she wear her tights? (but I like it)
And is it rude to wear my shades?
Am I a freak because I love watching Mary? (maybe)

We have no idea what Monae's sexuality is -- she prefers not to discuss it - but we're pretty sure this song swings both ways.

13. Living Colour, "Bi" (1993)

Everybody wants you when you're bi.
Looking at the girls and eyeing all the guys.
Everybody loves you when you're bi,
But the tension and the passion's double amplified

More choices, more problems?

14. Christina Aguilera, "Not Myself Tonight" (2010)

I'm kissing all the boys and the girls.

The out bisexual singer has a lot of fun in this song's video, too.

15. Green Day, "Coming Clean" (1994)

Secrets collecting dust but never forget,
Skeletons come to life in my closet.
I found out what it takes to be a man.
Now Mom and Dad will never understand

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has said this song was about questioning his sexuality as a teenager growing up in the San Francisco area.

16. David Bowie, "John, I'm Only Dancing"(1972)

John, I'm only dancing
She turns me on, but I'm only dancing
She turns me on, don't get me wrong

In his flagrantly bisexual days, Bowie released this single, which is generally understood to be about a gay relationship in which one partner is "turned on" by a woman he dances with.

17. Ani Difranco, "In or Out" (1992)

I've got more than one membership to more than one club.

DiFranco, who is bisexual, sings one verse about a man and another about a woman in this song that finds her refusing to box herself in.

18. The Veronicas, "Take Me On The Floor" (2008)

I wanna kiss a girl / I wanna kiss a boy.

The Aussie pop duo defines new nightlife goals.

19. Panic! At The Disco. "Girls/Girls/Boys" (2013)

And never did I think that I
Would be caught in the way you got me,
But girls love girls and boys
And love is not a choice.

Lead singer Brendon Urie told NPR this song was inspired by his "homosexual experiences."

20. Franz Ferdinand, "Michael" (2004)

Michael you're the boy with all the leather hips,
Stucky hair, sticky hips stubble on my sticky lips.

Alex Kapranos, an ostensibly straight singer, delivers a sexy song to a man? It's all so modern!

21. Jill Sobule, "I Kissed A Girl" (1995)

I kissed a girl, her lips were sweet.
She was just like kissin' me.

The first time we heard a song with this title. A sweet and funny romp about two gals hanging out, bitching about their boyfriends. After a few drinks, one thing leads to another.

22. Katy Perry, "I Kissed A Girl" (2008)

I kissed a girl and I liked it,
the taste of her cherry chapstick.
I kissed a girl just to try it,
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it.

And she says she'd do it again!

23. Missy Higgins, "Scar" (2004)

A triangle trying to squeeze through a circle.

Higgins, who is bisexual, devotes one verse to a man and another to woman, giving listeners an unflinching glimpse at heartbreak with each.

24. Esperanza Spalding, "I Can't Help It" (2012)

Was looking in my mirror,
Took me by surprise.
I can't help but see you,
Running often through my mind

The song's lyrics are vague, but its video tells the story of a woman living with a man, but falling for another woman.

25. Pete Townshend , "Rough Boys" (1980)

Rough boys don't walk away,
I very nearly missed you.
Tough boys come over here,
I wanna bite and kiss you.

Years later, Townshend called this song his bisexual "coming out." You think?

26. Suzanne Vega , "Stockings" (1995)

Do you know where friendship ends
and passion does begin?
It's between the binding of
her stockings and her skin.

A woman finds she is attracted to her friend.

27. Sweet, "A.C.D.C." (1974)

She's got girls, girls all over the world / She's got men every now and then.

An early '70s rock celebration of one woman's bisexuality. Joan Jett released her own rendition in 2006.

28. Bright Eyes, "Lover I Don't Have To Love" (2002)

I want a lover I don't have to love.
I want a boy who's so drunk he doesn't talk.

Singer Conor Oberst sings of being lonely while depressed. He wants a girl or a boy who will take him as he is, someone who doesn't need him to be whole right now.

29. Ben Harper, "Mama's Got A Girlfriend Now" (1994)

Papa he left home today,
said he ain't comin' back again,
said he ain't gonna be nobody's second best
Just 'cause mama's got a special kind of friend.

Told from the perspective of a son watching his parents' affairs destroy their marriage. The lyrics make it clear dad is bisexual, too.
