Trevor James Tillery traverses the moody landscape of life in the closet with his latest music video.
Indie singer-songwriter Trevor James Tillery delivers a delicious dream-pop delicacy with his latest music video, "Sleeptalking."
The track - which is from Tillery's upcoming debut EP, In Moonlight, scheduled for release March 25 - explores the moody landscape of his coming out process and the subconscious need to break free from the confines of the closet.
"The song itself was written a few years back prior to coming to terms with my own sexuality," Tillery says. "To me, I think the song acts as a foreshadowing letter to myself and seeing a little glimmer of my true self. Like my subconscious was telling me to wake up."
Tillery's hypnotic sound and lingering lyrics are delightfully haunting - an audio atmosphere perfectly captured in the song's music video.
"Myself and director Nick DuPlessis shot the video for 'Sleeptalking' in Big Sur, California on a very early and foggy morning. Which were the perfect conditions for what I had in my head for an eerie dreamlike state," he says.
