Even with last week's assault on the U.S. Capitol, a big celebration is planned for January 20.

Lady Gaga will sing the national anthem and Jennifer Lopez will perform a musical number during the Wednesday inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as president and vice president.

The Biden Inaugural Committee announced the inauguration's lineup this morning, tweeting that Father Leo O'Donovan will perform the invocation, Andrea Hall will read the Pledge of Allegiance, Gaga will sing the national anthem, Amanda Gorman will offer a poetry reading, Lopez will headline a musical performance, and Rev. Dr. Silvester Beaman will read the benediction. The inauguration takes place Wednesday at noon Eastern at the U.S. Capitol, the site of a Trump-backed insurrection last week.

The night of the inauguration will also feature a Tom Hanks-hosted event called "Celebrating America" that will include performances from Demi Lovato and Justin Timberlake, among others. The performance begins at 8:30 p.m. Eastern and, like the inauguration, will be carried by most networks.

Both Lopez and Gaga are vocal supporters of Democrats, and the latter superstar has a long relationship with Biden, in which they worked together to combat sexual assault on college campuses.

The Biden Inaugural Committee also announced a "We the People Concert" will take place Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern, hosted by Keegan Michael Key and Will & Grace star Debra Messing.
