Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington will star in a film as a priest who returns to the Catholic high school where he was sexually abused. The Least of These focuses on the corruption of priests who do not speak out to protect abuse victims, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Nathan Scoggins wrote and will direct the indie film, budgeted for $1 million; shooting is scheduled to begin in June. Scoggins said he reached out to Washington because of an interview Washington gave in which he said he was no longer being offered roles in films because of fallout from the notorious "f word" incident regarding Grey's Anatomy costar T.R. Knight.
"This is part of him moving forward and making restitution" for his actions, Scoggins told the Reporter. Washington was unavailable for comment. (The Advocate)
