Increasingly-liberal Colorado may not have been the best choice for a Christmas getaway for Mike and Karen Pence. The VP and Second Lady were greeted this week by a rainbow-hued banner hanging from pillars on the driveway of the Aspen home they rented. "Make America Gay Again," the banner read.

Shannon Slade, a girlfriend of one of the daughters in the home next to Pence's rental, admitted to hanging the banner, along with her partner and her partner's sisters. The Secret Service removed the banner without incident and didn't charge Slade with any crimes.
This isn't the first time LGBT supporters have targeted Pence, a notorious homophobe who, as Indiana governor, signed a law a bill that would have legalized anti-LGBT discrimination. As VP-elect, Pence's rented home in Washington was surrounded by rainbow flags and LGBT activists later hosted a dance party in front of his house.
