Writer Dan Savage explains the origins of Peter LaBarbera's nickname, Porno Pete. LaBarbera is the head of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, which has often advocated against LGBT people.

Savage has sparred with LaBarbera on Twitter and in other public forums. LaBarbera's organization has been designated as an antigay hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
