The president-elect tried to put out a firestorm and, per usual, failed.
Hours after explosive reports surfaced that Russian officials have damning information on Donald Trump -- which could be used to blackmail the president-elect -- he staged a press conference denying the allegations.
CNN reported on Tuesday that Trump was previously told by U.S. intelligence officials that the Russians have major dirt on him. BuzzFeed then released some of the alleged intelligence correspondence, which includes unverified claims that Trump hired prostitutes to urinate on a Moscow hotel bed that Barack and Michelle Obama once slept on.
The president-elect called the report a "disgrace" and comdemned BuzzFeed for releasing it. He also got into shouting matches with reporters and called CNN "terrible." And he said he would not divest his stake in his real estate business, instead handing over control to his two oldest sons -- Trump said this would not be a conflict of interest, all the while refusing to release his taxes even as rumors swirl of his Russian financial ties. Of course, we got another earful about his plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act and build a wall across the U.S.-Mexico border. He further said his nomination for the Supreme Court is coming just weeks after the inauguration January 20.
