Idaho joined the marriage club this week, with licenses issued to same-sex couples on Wednesday morning. Sunny skies and temperate weather greeted the 100 people waiting at the Boise courthouse to make their relationships official. With Mayor Dave Bieter out of town, Boise City Council president Maryanne Jordan stepped in to officiate the first wedding in Ada County; Jordan wed Rachael and Amber Beierle, two of the eight female plaintiffs who finally ended Idaho's marriage ban.
