Comedian Adam Carolla's thoughts on those insulted by his racially tinged and antigay humor? "Tough shit" and "I don't care," he said this week.
During an interview with Huffington Post Live, a viewer asked Carolla how he feels about the Calling Out Carolla blog, which catalogs his offensive jokes and tweets. He offered no apology and said anyone who's ever had to apologize for an offensive comment was faking their remorse.
"Go find a politician or somebody who's in charge and poke a popsicle stick up their butt. I'm a comedian," he said. "I'm done apologizing, I really am."
When asked about white privilege, Carolla seemed unable to comprehend the concept, which possibly made it easier for him to justify his steady stream of antiminority humor.
"You are in charge of your own feelings," he said to his detractors. "I'm not in charge of your feelings. I'm here to make jokes. I'm here to make commentaries. I'm here to share my opinions.Tough shit if you don't like it." Watch below.
