Bruce Jenner's former son-in-law, Kris Humphries, saw the coming out interview on ABC that has brought an outpouring of support and had an oddly different reaction on Friday.

"Man, I'm glad I got out when I did," wrote Humphries, who was married to Jenner's step-daughter, Kim Kardashian, in a massively hyped wedding in 2011 only to file for divorce 72 days later.

That sparked a flood of tweets that in the minutes after the interview aired actually had Humphries trending on Twitter, plus headlines on sites such as TMZ and this one, and now, 11 hours later, Humphries says, "I have and always will support Bruce hence #Gottadoyou," he wrote, referring to the hashtag he used with the original tweet. "Now recognize I was too vague and sincerely apologize for the way this came across."

Then he tweeted "#FullySupportBruce."

Humphries is an NBA player now with the Washington Wizards. Meanwhile, Kardashian's new husband, rapper Kanye West, is earning widespread praise on social media after Jenner (who prefers to continue using male pronouns for now) credited him with helping Kardashian come to terms with the transition.

"He said to Kim, 'Look, I could be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I am. I could have the most beautiful in the daughter in the world. I have that. But I'm nothing if I can't be me. If I can't be true to myself, they don't mean anything,'" recalled Jenner.

After the interview, Kardashian and the rest of her family took to Twitter to call Jenner a "hero" and are clearly on his side. They were joined by a flood of celebrities ranging from Oprah Winfrey to Lady Gaga and more.
