Another Letter to Sally Kern
Jeffrey James Keyes

Sean Bateman's letter to Sally Kern is well put. I hope she reads it. I hope her son reads it, also. She is a true enemy of the GLTB community and we cannot let her off the hook for her actions and words. Thank you Mr. Bateman for not giving up and letting her slide. And thank you, The Advocate, for publishing his words of truth. Our fight for equality is not over. Let's make it a peaceful fight, looking to more powerful leaders like the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Mahatma Gahndi for inspiration in our pursuit for equal rights and put people like Sandy Kern in their place once and for all so that children like Matthew Shephard, Larry King, and Sakia Gunn are able to be safe from violence and the atrocities of gay bashing and discrimination forever. We need true leaders to step forward and fight for our equal rights. Until we have these equal rights mothers and fathers across our country will continue to disown their children for being gay, politicians like Sally Kern will continue to view us as second classed citizens and evil-doers, and religious fanatics will continue to inflict violence on us. I am appalled at the lack of media coverage over recent incidents like the horrific murder of Larry King. The word has to be spread or it will continue to happen time and time again. I point the finger at Sally Kern, and all of her minions. We want an apology, Sally Kern. It's time for awareness, it's time for reform.
