Alternative pop artist BeLL recently premiered her new music video for "Losing My Religion," a cover of R.E.M.'s 1991 single, Friday. The video features artists such as Rocco Katastrophe and Her Storyactress Laura Zak.

Jen Rosenstein, the director of the video, says all the staff who worked on shooting the video were queer women. "Instantly the song resonated with me in a much more personal way than it ever had in the past," the director told Afterellen, the queer women's site, about the video. "I wanted to show what that struggle was like and how we make that decision to either jump off a building or take that leap of faith and survive."

"It doesn't matter if we are gay, straight, bi, queer or transgender," Rosenstein said. "At some point we go through the dark and make it out to the light."

Rosenstein said the dark room in the video is representative of the "inner struggle" everyone experiences. "The room represents that inner struggle and how we fight with ourselves in a way that nobody hears us. I included a young child to represent the innocence that we still have, that kid inside us that just wants a hug," said the director.
