Dolores
Activist, labor leader, and feminist Delores Huerta pretty much wrote the book on turning resistance into action. The life of the woman who coined the phrase "!Si, Se Puede!" and who co-founded the National Farmworkers Association, which later became United Farm Workers, gets overdue attention in this new documentary directed by Peter Bratt and produced by Carlos Santana and Benjamin Bratt. A contemporary of Cesar Chavez, Huerta worked with him to take on the Coachella Valley Grape Growers in the '60s to improve conditions for workers. But that was just one of Huerta's early victories. She's worked tirelessly for workers rights in the decades since.
