Hawaii has been waiting since April to hear from Governor Linda Lingle on the civil unions bill passed by the state legislature. And now Lt. Governor James "Duke" Aiona says Lingle, a Republican, will include the civil unions bill on a list of potential vetoes she will present to legislators on Monday, KITV reports.

That doesn't mean Lingle will certainly veto the bill, but she is required by law to inform lawmakers about bills she might veto.

"It will be a potential veto, and the governor right now is crafting her decision as to whether or not she will or will not veto that bill," Aiona says.

The deadline for Lingle's final decision on the bill is July 6.
