With appearances on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America, actor Jonah Hill is continuing to make public apologies for the offensive language, including an antigay slur, he used in response to a photographer pursuing him.

Hill, who was caught by TMZ telling the photographer, "Suck my dick, you faggot," went on The Tonight Show last night and GMA today, following his apology on The Howard Stern Showyesterday.

"I didn't mean this in the sense of the word, I didn't mean it in a homophobic way," Hill told Fallon, his voice almost breaking at points. "[But] I think that doesn't matter, how you mean things doesn't matter ... words have weight and meaning. The word I chose was grotesque, and no one deserves to say or hear words like that."

On GMA, he added, "It's never OK to use that kind of language. I personally vow to never ever use that word again and I urge everyone to do the same."

Hill also used his Tonight Show appearance to speak directly to LGBT people, saying, "I've been a supporter of the LGBTQ community all my life, and I completely let members of that community and everybody else down when I used a word like that this week, and my heart's broken, and I'm genuinely deeply sorry to anyone who's ever been affected by that term in their life, and I don't deserve or expect your forgiveness, but what I ask is that ... if you're a young person especially, if someone says something that hurts you or angers you, use me as an example of what not to do and don't respond with hatred or anger."

Hill's latest film, 22 Jump Street, premieres in theatres June 13. Watch his Tonight Show and GMA appearances below.
