He had the perfect answer to the conservative's question.
On Friday, Donald Trump set off a firestorm when he called for NFL players who kneel during the national anthem to be fired.
On Sunday, conservative pundit Bill Mitchell weighed in on the controversy:
Mark Hamill, a.k.a. Luke Skywalker, took to Twitter to provide Mitchell with an example:
“Praising neo-Nazis as "some very good people". https://t.co/Eps4p7hVcd”— Mark Hamill (@Mark Hamill) 1506276571
And Twitter loved it...
And for those of a certain age, his tweet was downright heroic...
“@HamillHimself @runalongwomble Luke Skywalker was my hero when I was a kid. Mark Hamill just became a hero to 48 year old me :)”— Mark Hamill (@Mark Hamill) 1506276571
“@MrE_Os @runalongwomble Then my work here is done. (twice)”— Mark Hamill (@Mark Hamill) 1506276571
Some on Twitter had their own answers to Mitchell...
“@AccActivist @slpng_giants @mitchellvii What is more divisive than calling citizens exercising their First Amendment rights son of bitches?”— Jamie Carter (@Jamie Carter) 1506295902
“@HamillHimself @Deanofcomedy Telling transgender troops they cannot protect the flag? Next”— Mark Hamill (@Mark Hamill) 1506276571
“@mitchellvii Ignoring 3.5 million AMERICANS without power, clean water, shelter IN PERIL because you'd rather stop protests about institutional racism.”— Gordon Stettinius (@Gordon Stettinius) 1506362337
For some, Hamill's tweet brought to mind other times the president fell a bit short of "presidential"...
