After two years of dating, the two are officially heading down the aisle.Â
During an appearance on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show, Kristen Stewart revealed that she and her girlfriend of two years, screenwriter Dylan Meyer, are engaged.
"We're marrying, we're totally gonna do it," Stewart, 31, said. "I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. We're marrying, it's happening."
Reports that the two were dating began circulating in the summer of 2019 after Stewart had ended her relationship with model Stella Maxwell. In a previous interview on Stern's show from November 2019, Stewart opened up about how she and Meyer first connected. While the two had initially met while working on an unspecified movie, lightning struck when they reconnected six years later. "She rocked up at a friend's birthday and I was like, 'Where have you been and how have I not known you?'" Stewart recalled. "The day that I met her, all bets were off."
Two weeks later, the actor confessed to Meyer that she was in love while the two were hanging out at "s--tty bar" late at night. "Her friends were there or whatever. They walked out and I was just like, 'Aw man, I'm so f--king in love with you.' Like, done," she recalled.
It should come as no surprise that these two are headed down the aisle, as Stewart has been saying she "can't f-cking wait" to propose to Meyer for the two years they've been dating. "I want to be, like, somewhat reasonable about it, but I think good things happen fast... it's just, like, when you know, you know," she shared.
It's proving to be a very big week for Stewart whose film Spencer -- in which she plays Princess Diana during the holiday weekend where she decides to leave Prince Charles -- hits theaters this Friday.
