Emma Corrin opened up more about their identity in a July 5 Instagram post featuring a series of intimate photos of The Crown star wearing a binder. Corrin, who portrays Princess Diana on The Crown, also changed their pronouns on the social platform to "she/they."

In the photos, taken by artist David-Simon Dayan, Corrin is wearing a homemade binder, a compression garment frequently worn by trans and nonbinary people to diminish feelings of body dysphoria. Corrin explained that these photos were taken, "some time before I bought my first binder, messing around with @sirdavidsimon, we used boxing wrap, thanks for capturing this with me, very intimate, very new, very cool."

While the binder in the images was created using boxing wrap, Corrin also plugged their favorite binder brand, the trans-owned gc2b. For those who want to bind, it's important to always do so safely. For example, never use duct tape or Ace bandages to bind your chest, don't sleep in your binder, and if it hurts, stop.

Corrin didn't elaborate further on their identity, but rather pointed to it being an ongoing process. "It's all a journey right," they wrote. "Lots of twists and turns and change and that's ok! Embrace it."

This isn't the first time Corrin has opened up on social media. In April 2021, Corrin came out as queer in an Instagram post with photos of themselves in a bridal gown and veil with the caption, "Your fave queer bride." They also revealed during a drinking game on the Vanity Fair Cocktail Hour Live that they once held onto a girlfriend's sweater to smell. "She did know, yes," Corrin confessed "Um, yeah, but I think I'm a very smell-oriented person, and I could do it with jumpers. Jumpers is a good one."

Next up for Corrin is a starring role in My Policeman, where they'll play opposite Harry Styles in the queer period drama about a bisexual police officer who marries a woman (Corrin), but whose life is complicated when his past male lover reenters his life.
