Ever since news broke that Jonathan Van Ness' long-running podcast Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness was being made into a Netflix series, we've been dying to get our eyes on it. Today, we finally got that first look at the trailer, and the show appears to be every bit as fun and heartwarming as we could've hoped.
As was the case with his podcast, JVN is going to be asking big questions like: "Why is hair so major? Am I dependent on snacks? Are bugs gorgeous or gross? Are wigs about just wanting to be something different?" And he's not afraid to get his hands dirty to find the answers. In the trailer, JVN hits the ice (literally) to learn about ice skating, dons construction gear (and a whole lot of wigs), plays with bugs, and even makes a meal of crickets. Talk about dedication to the cause.
Along with experts in the topics covered by the series, the trailer also teases some of the exciting guests who'll be popping in to help JVN on his quest to explore and better understand "the huge universe" we're living in. Familiar faces include ice skating icon Michelle Kwan, fashion star Christian Siriano, and comedy legend Rachel Dratch all making appearances.
It looks to be both a fun and eye-opening viewing experience -- and JVN's naturally infectious, effervescent attitude already is probably already a hook for many. In other words, this is going to be must-watch TV when it hits Netflix on January 28. Watch the trailer below.
