Be still our queer hearts, bisexual actor Aubrey Plaza is checking in to season 2 of HBO's White Lotus. Talk about a dream vacation.
The Happiest Season actor has been tapped to star as a series regular in the upcoming -- and much anticipated -- second season of the darkly comedic social satire created by Mike White. Plaza is set for the role of Harper Spiller, a woman on vacation with her husband and his friends, according to Deadline.
The new season will feature a fresh but mostly unannounced cast, although there may be one more familiar face checking into season 2: Jennifer Coolidge is rumored to be reprising her role as Tanya. Michael Imperioli was previously announced to be joining the cast as well. Imperioli is set to play the role of Dominic Di Grasso, a man traveling with his elderly father and recent college-graduate son.
Also shaking things up, for its second season the series will be moving from its original Hawaiian resort to a new White Lotus location. Though no formal announcements have been made about the new dream vacation location, it is rumored to be in Italy this time around, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
While the first season focused on a group of vacationers dealing with various issues and culminating with a murder, there are no details yet about the plot of season 2. But with Plaza being tapped to join the cast and Coolidge hopefully returning, we'll definitely be keeping a very close eye on this upcoming season.
