David Trullo is a visual artist based in Madrid. His photo and video work deal with different aspects of representation, context, reproduction, and distribution of images. In all of his photographs there is a connection with history and the culture and beliefs of the Western world, often embodying new LGTBQ visibilities. Double Olympia (2008) pays tribute to Manet's famous painting of 1863. A series of intimate genre portraits where another type of "pairing off" is seen; a ritual of marriage or friendship, a ceremony that sanctifies affection, certifying the special bonds betwwen two people who complement each other or whose roles are interchangeable.

Fishers of Men (2006) explores the representation of masculinity. It is based on the figures of the Christian apostles, as examples of the "homo virtus," or man of virtues, confronted with the figure of the gay "bear" as the stereotype of the "hypermale."
