Charles Isherwood named president of New York Drama Critics Circle

Charles Isherwood, the openly gay chief theater critic for Daily Variety and an occasional contributor to The Advocate, has been named president of the New York Drama Critics Circle. The group also added three new members: David Cote of Time Out New York, Jeremy McCarter of the New York Sun, and Barbara Phillips of The Wall Street Journal.
