The New York Post reports that an Oklahoma man is suing ABC's Wife Swap after the show sent a gay man to live with him and his family. The show's premise has wives from very different households trading places, and Jeffrey Bedford is seeking $10 million in damages after the show put a gay man in his house; Bedford also alleges that the show's producers would not let him talk to his wife while the show was being taped. An ABC spokesman told a Muskogee, Okla., paper that the contract for the show specifies that the swapped spouse "could be either male or female. The show is meant to challenge a family's norms." Taped in October 2004, the episode has still not aired. (Advocate.com)
