Commencement speaker Melissa Etheridge sent graduates from Boston's Berklee College of Music out into the world with a message of hope, reports the Associated Press. "Whether you are singing, whether you are wrapping your arms around your instrument and playing it, whether you are listening to it and mixing it, or if you are trying to find the best way to bring music to the world, you were given this gift. You were chosen," Etheridge told the graduates. Berklee awarded more than 800 degrees in a Saturday ceremony that was moved indoors because of torrential rains. (The Advocate)
