There's finally a place on the Web specifically for the gamers who are also gay. GayGamer.net has powered up, featuring news about gaming with a focus on stories particular to LGBT gamers. The site will also feature articles on movies, music, TV shows, accessories, and interviews, incorporating all aspects of the LGBT gaming lifestyle. The site's founder, Flynn De Marco, describes the gay gamer experience as twofold. "We have to come out twice, and in the process we risk alienating two sets of friends. When we come out as gay, we're likely to alienate our fellow gamers; when we come out as gamers, we alienate our gay friends. It's like a double-edged +2 vorpal blade; we just can't win."

The site will be a haven for gay gamers to form a community. Recent articles onsite include a video clip from a gay bar in the popular online game World of Warcraft, a snippet about a new brand of pepper spray designed to look like a lipstick, and a countdown of the 20 gayest video game characters of all time.
