A documentary about a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet was named Best Feature at the fifth annual Outfest Fusion Awards, a multicultural LGBT film festival, according to a press release on Thursday. The documentary, Water Flowing Together, was directed by Gwendolen Cates and stars ballet veteran Jock Soto.

The DL Chronicles, "Episode: Mark," won Best Narrative Short. The film follows men of color living secret sexual lives. Best Documentary Short was given to In the Fire (En el Fuego), profiling transgender women who challenge the status quo in Peru.

The festival took place at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles from November 30 to December 2. Sponsors include HBO, Liberty Hill Foundation Lesbian and Gay Community Fund, American Cinematheque, Absolut, Paramount Pictures, and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. (The Advocate)
