Though the hit Showtime drama The L Word is heading into its final season, show creator Ilene Chaiken is planning a spin-off, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The spin-off will revolve around one of the show's regular characters, though the character to be featured has yet to be announced, Showtime's president of entertainment Robert Greenblatt said at the Television Critics Association press tour on Friday.
"We're still forming it. I'm sure I have a million e-mails already from loyal viewers about it, but we're still in the process of figuring it out," he said, when pressed for more detail by reporters.
The L Word's story line is currently slated to continue online after the show finishes its sixth season, but the spin-off may pick up the story line if it moves forward. (The Advocate)
