Showtime's breakout hit series Nurse Jackie wasted no time in airing its first gay kiss, which took place during last week's season finale between Dr. Fitch Cooper (Peter Facinelli) and gay nurse Mohammed "Mo-Mo" De La Cruz (Haaz Sleiman, who also appeared in out writer-director Maurice Jamal's 2004 urban gay romantic comedy The Ski Trip).

The show was already steeped in gay representation, with fellow gay nurse Thor (Stephen Wallem) and Dr. Cooper's lesbian moms (Swoosie Kurtz and Blythe Danner).

The kiss followed on the heels of news that Gossip Girl's notorious womanizer, Chuck Bass, will share a kiss with another man in the upcoming third season.
