Lindsay Lohan, the sometimes actress, designer, and lesbian, can now add humanitarian to her growing resume.

Lohan plans to travel to India to film a documentary about child trafficking in conjunction with the BBC.

"I think it's important to kind of have a voice when you can have one, and make a difference," said Lohan, reports the Press Trust of India. "It's basically on the trafficking of children in Bihar, India.

The 23-year-old decided to travel to India following a meeting with British businessman and philanthropist Richard Branson in Dubai.

Lohan was previously invited to India in September by the president of Universal Society of Hinduism, Rajan Zed.

According to the Times of India, Zed suggested that Lohan visit a Hindu temple and offered to supply a set of Hindu scriptures with the hopes of adding tranquility to the starlet's hectic life.

The proposal came after Lohan wrote on her Twitter, "I'm all about Karma ... what goes around comes around!"

Lohan is unsure when she will make it to India but hopes to start filming before Thanksgiving. The actress did not comment on whether she plans to take up Zed's offer.
